Annual Company Picnic, New Executive Director and Fundraisers... OH MY!
It has been a very busy quarter for Josh’s Place. In August, we hosted our very first company picnic, the 1st Annual JP Friends & Family Picnic. We were able to highlight our amazing VIPs and our phenomenal Superstars (staff). Having an annual picnic has been on our "bucket list" for years and we made it happen this year! The highlight? Sarah, one of our VIPs, won a TV! Caitlin, one of our amazing Superstars from the Lynndale house, won a Kindle. Needless to say, a good time was had by all - we can't wait for next year!
On October 1st, 2018 we welcomed Barb Turner as our Executive Director. Barb Turner previously worked for ARRM (Association of Residential Resources of Minnesota) for over 10 years, initially as the COO and prior to leaving as the Sr. Director of External Affairs. Prior to working at ARRM Barb worked for Dungarvin MN for over 22 years. She started there as a direct care staff and was promoted through the years to her eventual position of Operational Director for the non-metro programs at Dungarvin. We’re so thankful for Barb and the hard work she has accomplished for the disability community. Our hope is that with this partnership, Josh’s Place will continue to grow and spread the passion of holistic care.
Have you followed our Facebook? If you haven’t, you’ll be happy to know that Josh’s Place attended the 2nd Annual Jack’s Basket Fundraiser. Melanie Fountaine (CEO), Melissa Danielsen (CMO) and Jonas Danielsen (COO) attended the gala, where they represented Josh’s Place as a Gold Sponsor.
Our hope for Josh’s Place is to continue to support other like-minded organizations, and to build awareness for the disability community with tolerance, compassion, inclusion and outreach.
